Before opening his own firm, he served as an Assistant Public Defender in Florida's First Judicial Circuit — handling criminal cases in the same courts he practices in today. That background means he understands how prosecutors think, how cases are built, and where they can be challenged. He has tried cases before juries and has the courtroom experience to back it up.
